AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER FOR
AND OM, BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MORRIS L. LEVY FOR
ARCHITECTtB SERVICES IN DESIGNING AND CONSTRUCT-
ING A POLICE BUILDING IN THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, FOR CONSIDERATION AS SET FORTH IN SLID
AGREEMENT, TO BE PAID OUT OF THE PROCEEDS OF THE
SALE OF BONDS HERETOFORE AUTHORIZED TO BE ISSUED
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SUCH PROJECT& AND THE
AMOUNT OF PAYMENTS PROVIDED IN SAID.CONTRACT ARE
HEREBY APPROPRIATED FROM.SAID FUNDS; A COPY OF
WHICH ACM T IS A PART OFTHIS_ORDINANCE; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorised and
directed for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi to eaeoute an
agreement with Morrie Le Levy for arohiteotts services in designing and
oonstrueting a police building in the City of Corpus Christi, for conslderar
tion as set forth in said agreement, to be paid ant of the prooeede of the
sale of bonds heretofore authorised to be issued Por the construction of
such project, and the payments provided in said oontraot are hereby apr
propriated Prom said funds; a oopy of which agreement is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, to -wits

oonetruoting of said Police building as soon as possible. and the prooeeda
of the sale of bonds heretofore authorised to be issued for the construction
of such projeot being available. being of public importanoe, creates a
publio emergency and imperative publie necessity requiring the suspension
of the City Charter Rule or requirement that no ordinao.oe or resolution
shall be passed finally oaths date it is introduced. and that euoh ordiu•

Council. and the Mayor having declared that such publio emergency and im-
perative publio necessity exist. and having requested that said Charter
rule beauepended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of

going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
