THE CITY A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED TO
JULIA CALIVELL, A FE'ME SOLE OF THE
COUNTY OF NUECES, AND PATTIE C_ATIN ELL
RHEA OF THE COUNTY OF BEXAR, ;YMN AND
IN THE EVENT JULIA CALDZIJ, AND MATTIE
CALDWELL REEA EXECUTE A DEED TO THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, A 001Y OF 1vH -TCH
DEEDS ARE ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A
PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERrENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City of Corpus
Christi to execute a Special Warranty Deed to Julia Caldwell,
a fame sole of the County of Nueces, and Mattis Caldwell Rhea
of the County of Bexar, when and in the event Julia Caldwell
and Mattis Caldwell Rhea execute a deed to the City of Corpus
Christi, a copy of which deeds are attached hereto and made
a part hereof, and appear as follows, torwit:

That we, Julia Caldwell, a fens sole, of the county of Nusees and
State of Texas and Mattis Caldrall Rhea of the County of mar and State of
Texas, for and in ennsideration of the sun of TEN DOLL (614.00) to us in
hand paid by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a municipal corporation, and
in further consideration of a conveyance by the gr %ntee, City of Corpue Christi,
Texas, herein, to us, of even date herewith, and the atipulations, conditions
and covenants contained therein, and other good and valuable considerations,
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have Urante.d, Bargained, :old and Con-
veyed, and by th�±se presents do Print, Bargain, Sell and Convey unto the said
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a municipal corporation of Nueces County, Texas,
the fallowing described tracts or parcels of land being situated in Musces County,
Texas, and within the corporate limits of the City of Carus Lhristi, 'r'exas, de-
scribed as follows, to -wit:

Drive (Water Street) and more particularly described as follower
Beginning at a point in the east property line of Ocean Drive
(4ater Street) which is the northwest corner of the 9. H. Caldwell

with the north property line of the A. h.Caldwell 'Tract and the

line that is 20 feet east of the cast property line of Ocean Drive

SECTION II• The fact a portion of the titles to land involved
in Bayfront improvement has not been settled and that this ordinance
is necessary to further clear titles to said property creates a public
emergency and imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of
the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall
be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor
having deleared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having re-
quested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance
be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and
be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORD-
INGLY SO ORDAIN`rD.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
