HomeMy WebLinkAbout02727 ORD - 03/21/1950AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY VANAGER FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY TO MUECUTE A RELEASE, WHICH ATTACHED RELEASE IS MADE A PART HEREOF, OF NOTICE OF STREFT IMPROPENIFNTS LIEN DATED JANUARY 13, 1930, IN THE PRINCIPAL Sum OF $707.70 TO ETHEL 0LCH, ON LOTS 10, 11, 12, Block 32, BEACH PORTION OF TIE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, AND DECLARING AN MMPGENCY. BE IT O_RDTII1TED BY TIM, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to execute a Release of Notice of Street Improve- ments Lien dated January 13, 19y0, in the principal sum of $707.70, to ETHEL WELCH, on Lots 10,11,12, Block 32, BEACH PORTION of the City of Corpus Christi, a cony of which release is attached here- to and made a part hereof: Z7 27 THE STATE OF TEXAS County of IMCLS In consideration of the payment of indebtedness described in and secured by the liens created by the instruments hereinafter mentioned, the subscriber, as the legal owner and holder of such indebtedness, does hereby release from the operation of the liens thereby created, the real property described in the instruments of record in the office of the County Clerk of Nueces County, Texas, as follows, to -wit: Notice of Street Improvement lien dated 1 -13 -30 in the principal sum of 0707.70 recorded in Vol. 192 pages 211 and 2116, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, covering the following described property, to wit: Lots 10; 11, M4 Block 32, BEACH POE27101"•I of the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. The necessity for clearing the title to lands covered by said lien and release creates a public emergency and im- perative public necessity requiring the suspension of that Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinances and resolutions shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayors having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, requesting that such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordin- ance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
