APPROPRIATING MONEY FROM FUND NO. 296 IMPROVE-
MM BONDS 1950 CONSTRUCTION _FUND (PARK DeRRO9E-
NENTS) for the purpose of INSTAIJ,ATION OF MIATER
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IN LOUISIANA PARMM1fAY ELTEND-
ING BETWEEN OCEAN DRIVE.AND MAMMA STREET IN .
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI; AND DWIARING AS MNF
ERGENCY.
WHEREAS, There is needed the ova of Two Thousand Dollars
(12,000) to pay for the installation of Water Distribution System
in Louisiana Parkway extending between Ocean Drive and Alameda
Street in the City of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, There are sufficient fluids available for such ooa.
struotion work in Fund No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construe-
tion Fund ( Park Improvements ); and
WHEREAS, It is contemplated that said work will be done by
the Park Department City employees;
NWf, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TESAS:
SECTION I. There is hereby appropriated the am of
Two Thousand Dollars ( #2,000) from the Fund No. 296 Improvement
Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Park Improvements), which money
is to be used for the installation of Water Distribution System
in Louisiana Parkway extending between Ocean Drive and Alameda
Street in the City of Corpus Christi;
SECTION II. The fact that contemplated improvements
are permanent improvements and are a part of the park system
of the City of Opus Christi, Texas, and that it is necessary
to oomaence construction of said improvements at once creates
a public emsrgenoy and imperative public necessity requiring
the suspension of that certain Charter rule that no ordinance
or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is in-
troduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be reed
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor,

having declared that such emergency and necessity do exist, request-
ing that such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be
passed finally on the day it is introduced and take effect and be
in full force end effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCCRD-
IHGLY SO ORDAINED.

Gentlemen;
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
