WEMMS, There is needed approximately $8,652.05 to pap for cost of installation of a sanitary sewer extension and lift station to serve the Went End of Jones, Smmars, and West Broadway Streets; and WHEREAS, There are sufficient fonds available for such in- stallation cost in Fund No. 299 - 1950 Sanitary Sewer Improvements; and WHEREAS, It is contemplated that amid work will be done by City foroes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMCIL OF TEE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TESASs SECTION I. There is hereby appropriated the sum of 18,652.05 from Fund No. 299 -1950 Sanitary Sewer Improvements, out of which amount there is to be paid the estimated cost of in- stallation, 07,865.50, of a sanitary sewer extension and lift station to serve the West End of Jones, Summers, and West Broadway Streets; the balance of said appropriation is the amount equiva- lent to ton per cent of said estimated cost, which amount is bare- by appropriated to cover contingent costs of said project. SECTION II. The Director of Public Works of the City of Corpus Christi is hereby directed to proceed with the work de- scribed in Section I hereof and to be done by City Forces. SECTION III. The fact that it in necessary to commence Z7�_Z such work at once to relieve the existing conditions and to pro- vide adquate sanitary sewer maints to serve said area and to pro- toot the health and general welfare of the peoples of the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the ftyor, hav- ing declared that such emergency and public necessity exist, re- questing that said Charter rule be suspended and that this ordin- ante be passed finally on the day it is introduced and telm effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
