WHEREAS, There is needed approximately $900 to pay for the oost of ourb and gutter to.be installed adjacent to city -owned property on Brentwood Drive; and WAS, Them Arts sufficient funds available for suoh installation oost in Fund No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Improvements); and NOff, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS% SECTION 1• There is hereby appropriated the sum of $900 from Fund No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Improvements) . out of whioh amount there is to be paid $888.28, plustll.72 for inoidental expenses,to pay for 683.29 linear feet of ourb and gutter to be installed ad- jjaovat to oity� owned property on Brentwood Drive, said work to be done by private contraot, the total ooet of whioh shall not exoeed $900.00. SECTION 2. The faot thatpermanent street and side- walk improvements within the City are 1=sdiately neoeesary due to the faot that the present oondition of the streets and sidewalks in said City is dangerous to the health and general welfare of the inhabitants thereof and that there are at the Present time inadequate numbers of sidewalks Ail this area 2-W-1 creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution -thall be passed finally on the date it is intro- duced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings ofthe City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordi- nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT 15 ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
