A RESOLUTION
SETTING ASIDE AND DESIGNATING THAT CERTAIN
AREA LYING EAST OF A LINE PARALLEL TO SHORE-
LIRE DRIVE FROM THP SOUTH END OF THE BIB-
LINE FARALLEL WITH THE CEl EE LINE

AREA; AND DECLARING AN ENLRGENCY. —�
WHEREAS, That certain area lying east of a line parallel
to Shoreline Drive from the South End of the Breakwater to a
line parallel with the center line of Buford Street and bound-
ed on the east by the waters of Corpus Christi Bay as more
particularly described hereinafter is suitable for nark and
recreation purposes; and
4�REAS, It is desirable to improve the same as park
and recreation area and to use for such improvements such ap-
propriation available for permanent park improvements;
I C7, THE1L- FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That a certain area being situated with-
in the City of Corpus Christi and described as follows:
All of that area lying east of a
line parallel to and 20 feet east of
the Fast curb line of Shoreline Drive
extendinL from the South Lied of the
Breakwa +,er on the north to a line
parallel with and 458 feet south of
the center line of Buford Street and
bounded on the east by the water of
Corpus Christi Bay; this description,

as park and recreation areas, and that it is necessary that such
designation be made as a dedication of said property for the use
of the public as park and recreation area oreates a public em-

shall be passed finally on the day it is introduced and that
such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at .three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
r111e or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council,
