stallations to reimburse Current Fund No. 102; and

SECTION I. There is hereby appropriated out of Fund
No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Traffic
Control 3,'Stem) to reimburse Current Fund No. 102 in the amount
Of �13,080.r0 for traffic signal installations, the estir,.ates f(r
which ere attaohed hereto and made a part hereof: w50)a.,62, for new
tra.ff o si;na1 at Antelope and Tancahua Streets; ;1,375.62, for new
traffic signal at Navigation Boulevard and ',rater Street, and X1,200.36
for new traffic signal at Iort,Llesqulte and Carroll Streets, the

of which is to be done 'by the electrical Division of
City Forces.
SCTIOTI II. The necessity for completion of the in-
stallation of traffic control devices £or the safety of the public
creates a public emergency and in- erative necessity requiring the
suspensior_ cf the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the day it is introduced and such or-
dinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings
of the City Council, and the 'Mayor, having declared that such

be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the
day it is introduced and take effect and be in 'ull force and

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at .three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
