AND ON BEHUN, OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TO EXECUTE A RELEASE OF-SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR SIDEWALK_ IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTY FRANTING 62.50 FEET ON THE NORTH SIDE OF ELIZABETH STREET AND BEING THE EAST ONE -HALF OF LOT 64, BLOCK 1301, BAY TERRACE ADDITION N0. 2 TO THE CITY AND THE MER.THUREOF, NELSON C. OLIvER, FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYMENT OF SAID ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATE AND INTEREST THEREON, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION I. That the City Manager for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a release of special assessmeat for side- walk improvements against the property fronting 62.50 feet on the north side of Elizabeth Street and being the east one -half of Lot 64s Block 1301, Bay Terrace Addition No. 2 to the City and the owner thereof, Nelson C. Oliver, for and in consideration of the payment of said assessment certificate and interest thereon; a copy of which release is made a part hereof and attached hereto, to-Witt Z7 -75 SECTION II. The necessity of clearing the title of the property involved creates a public emergency and impera- tive public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or reso- lution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such emergency and imperative necessity exist, requesting that said Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the day it is introduced and take effect and be in full f orce and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
