AN ORDINANCE
RECEIVING INTO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, PROPERTY ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, BEING A TRACT OF LAND OUT
OF LOTS 3, 4, 13 and 14, SECTION 2, FLOUR
BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS,
NI MES COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING KNOWN A UNIT
I WINDSOR PARK, AND FULLY DESCRIBING SAME AS
AN IMMU APART OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI;
DEFINING ITS LIMITS AND DECLARING —HE SAME A
PART OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SUBJECT TO
THE CONDITIONS, RULE, REGULATIONS, ORDINANCES,
AND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WEREAS, The City of Corpus Christi did, on the 25th
day of April, 1950, enter into an agreement with W. M. Bevly and
Ben H. Janssen, owners of ;,he property hereinafter described, to
admit said property into the City of Corpus Christi, and
WHEREAS, There are no resident voters within said
territory; and
WHEREAS, Said property is adjacent to and adjoins
the City limits of the City of Corpus Christi; and

.EREAS, The City Council of the City of Corpus
Christi deems it advisable and to the best interest of said City
that the following described property be admitted into the City
of Corpus Christi:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 010AINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas;
SECTION 1. That the territory defined by metes and
bounds, as follows, to —wit:
A tract of land out of Lots 3, 4, 13 and
]Ja, Section 2, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and
Garden Tracts, Nueces County, Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING At a point, the common corner of
Lots 14, 1�, 18 and 19, Section 2 Flour Bluff and
Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts for the West corner
and POINT OF BEGINNING of the description;
THENCE N*29 degrees E 2640.0 feet to a point,
the common corner for Lots 2, 3, Section 2, and 12
and 13, Section 1, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and
Garden Tracts for the North Corner of this tract;
THENCE S 61 degrees E 849.0 feet to a
point in the NE line of Lot 4, Section 2,
Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts
for the East Corner of this tract;
THENCE S 29 degrees W 2640.0 feet to a point
in the SW line of Lot 13, Section 21 Flour Bluff
and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, for the South
corner of this tract;
THENCE N 61 degrees W 849.0 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING,
containing in all 51.45 acres more or less,
BE, AND THE SAME IS HEREBY, ADMITTED Into the City of
Corpus Christi, as an integral part thereof, and said territory
shall hereafter be a part of the City of Corpus Christi, subject
to the general laws of the State of Texas, the City Charter, and
the Ordinances, Resolutions, Motions, and Regulations of the City
of Corpus Christi. Such territory shall bear its proportionate
share of all taxes levied by the City, and its inhabitants shall
have all the privileges and be subject to all the duties of other
inhabitants of the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. The fact that the owners of such territory
desire that the same be immediately incorporated within the City
Limits of the City of Corpus Christi, and the fact that it is
imperative for the well —being of the City of Corpus Christi that
such territory be immediately incorporated within the City Limits
of the said City, create a public emergency and imperative public
necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the day it is
introduced and that such-ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, de-
claring that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested
such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed
finally on the day it is introduced and take effect and be in
fuli force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a .public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall bd read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
