BEING ALL OF LOT 5, BLOCK 4. JONES ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF CORPUS OHR18TI, TEXAS,.AND THE

FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PRINCIPAL TBEREOF
PLUS INTEREST; AND DECLARING. AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE; CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, for and on behalf of
the City of Corpus Christi, be, and he iz hereby, authorized and
directed to execute a release of Special Assessineizt covered by Certificate
No. 35, dated March 7, 1950, against the property fronting 50 feet
on the North side of Lipan Street, being all of Lot 5, Block 4,
JONES ADDITION to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and the real
and true owners thereof, 14T. M. LIDWELL, for and in Consideration
of the principal thereof plus interest, a copy of which release is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, reading as follows:

SECTION 2. The necessity for clearing the title to the
property involved creates a public emergency and an imperative public
necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi-
nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Counoil, and the jdayor, declaring such
smargenoy and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension
of said Charter rule, that this ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction, and that it take effect and be iii full
force and effect from and after its passage, 1T IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasone set.f orth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a ,public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be. passed finally on the date it is introduced, and,
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read &-b -three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby 'request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council,
