LL 9%0 TYPO (2), SOUTH BEACH ADDITION TO THE C LM IN CONSIDERATION OF TEN ($10.00)'DOLLARS AND OTHER,GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, ALL OF WHICH IS SHOWN IN THE DEED ATTACHED HERE- TO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO DELIVER SAID DEED TO JOSXE BROS. COMPANY UPON THE RECEIPT OF PAYMENT OF $151,000.00 IN CONSIDERATION THEREFOR; AND DECIARING AN EMERGENCY. , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, be and he is hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to execute a deed to Jocks Bros. Company, a corporation, conveying all of Block Two (2), South Beach Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, for and in consideration of Ten ($10.00) Dollars and other good and valuable consideration, all of which is shown in the deed attached hereto. SECTION 2. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to deliver said deed to Joske Bros. Company upon the receipt of payment of $151,000.00 in consideration therefor. A copy of the Deed referred to in Sections 1 and 2 hereof is attached hereto and made a part hereof and reads as follows: 70 STATS OF 7EEAB KNOW ALL NEN BY THBSB FESSEN73: COUNTY of NOECES & That the CITY OF G04MS CHRISTI, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, of the County of Musses and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of TER ($10.00) DOLLARS to it in hand paid by JOSKE BROS. CORPAUf, a corporation, and other good and valuable considerations, receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, have Granted, Bargained, Sold and Conveyed, and by those presents do Grant, Bargain, Sell and Convey unto the said JOSKB BROS. COMPANY, a corporation, the following described tract, piece or parcel of land, being and situated in Nieces County, Tatas, and within the corporate limits of the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, and being morn fully described as follows, to -wit: All of Block Two (2) South Beach Addition to the City of Carpus Christi, Unease County, State of Texas; the said Block Two (2) being bounded on the South by Doddridge Street, on the Rest by Water Street, on the North by Cooper Alley, and on the West by Chaparral Street, said area being that same area deeded by Henry Guth to the City of Corpus Christi by Warranty Dead on August 5, 1931, and being filed for record in volume 200, pages 636 -37 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Tema, save and ezcapt a ten (10) foot strip of land off of the ;Pest aide of Lots 8 to 14 inclusive, and a 15 foot strip of land off of the Uorth side of Lots 7 and 8; which two (2) strips of land are hereby excepted from this conveyance and reserved to the City for Street, sidawalk and other municipal purposes incident to widen- ing the abutting streets; TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywiae be- longing, unto the said JOSKB EROS. CONPAUY, its successors and assigns, FOREVER; and the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI does hereby bind itself, its successors and assigns to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said JOSKS BROS. The need for the promotion and development of trade and commeroe in the City of Corpus Christi being to the general welfare and benefit of the citizens of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi.nanoc or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, declaring such emer- gency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, IT IS ACCORD- INGLY SO ORDAINED.
