WHEREAS, There is needed approximately $5,277.14 for cost of the improvement of Horne Road from Ramsey Street to Kostoryz Road, ad described herein, and all materials incorporated therein; and, WHEREAS, There are sufficient funds available for such improvement in No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Improvements); and, WHEREAS, It is contemplated that said work will be done by City Forces; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEWs SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of Five Thousand Two Hundred and Seventy -seven Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($5,277.14) from No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Improvements) for the improvement of Horne Road from Ramsey Street to Kostoryz Road in the City of Corpus Christi, as more fully described in the estimate attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The Director of Public Works of the City of Corpus Christi is hereby directed to proceed with the work described in Section 1 hereof to be done by City Forces. SECTION 3. The fact that it is necessary to make such , appropriation as above set out in order that needed improvements may be made on Horne Road in the interest of the safety of the people of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi- nance or resolution shall be passed finny„ on the day it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, requesting the suspension of said a9�a Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date it is introduced and it take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED. S, nt. �6?i . 1910 I certify to the City Council that the money required for the contract, agreement, obligation, or expenditure contemplated in the above and foregoing Ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of Fiend No. 296 Improvement Bonds 19$0 Construction runcL{Street 7morovements� from which it is proposed to be dram, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose. � 1 I •.� - Corpus Christi, Texas TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL 195 Carpus Christi, Texas Gentlemen= For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore- going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and . that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at.three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
