THE COST OF WATER DIS- TRIBUTION LINES, GRADING, PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND LANDSCAPING FOR BEL AIR PARK IN BEL AIR ADDITION ON ANNAPOLIS STREET; AUTHORIZING ARID DIRECTING THE RARK DEPARMENT TO PROCEED WITH SUCH IYPROVE6ENTS, SUCH WORK To BE DONE BY CITY FORCES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, There is needed approximately Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1200) for cost of Water distribution lines, grading playground equip- ment and landscaping for Bel Air Park in Bel Air Addition on Annapolis Street in the City of Corpus Christi, Tema; and WHEREAS, Such improvements have been deemed necessary as permanent park improvements of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas; and . WHEREAS, There are sufficient funds available for such im provements in No. 295 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Park Improvements); and WHEREAS, It is contemplated that said work will be done by City Forces; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED HE THE CITY COUNCIL OF 2-7 CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS; SECTION 1, There is hereby appropriated the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1200) from No. 295 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construct. , tion Fund ( Park Improvements ) for water distribution lines, grading, playground equipment and landscaping for Bel Air Park in Bel Aire Ad- dition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, in accordance with the estimated cost of Such improvements contained in the request for this appropriation, attached hereto and made a part hereof. , - SECTION 2. The Park Department is hereby directed and authorized to proceed with said work to be dens with City Forces, SECTION 3. The necessity for supplying adequate playground and recreational facilities and for making the aforesaid improvements to park and recreation area as a part of the permanent park improve- ments of the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and r� and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the, Charter rule providing that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally an the date of its introduction and that such ordi- nance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and neces- sity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and that it take effect and be in full farce and effect from and after the date of its PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
