AN ORDINANCE SETTING UP, CREATING AND DIVIDING THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS, INTO THIRTY -SEMI (37) ITARDS; DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF; BE- PEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES THAT CONFLICT fEMNITH AND DECLARING AN EA'?N2RGENCY. WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to change the City wards o£ the City of Corpus Christi in order to secure better voting facilities tr the citizens of Corpus Christi and in order to conform such words with the new city limits as established on October 31, 1950, and to conform to the gen- oral laws of the State of Texas regarding the holding of elections; NON, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEIAS: SECTION 1. That the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as its boun- daries now exist, is hereby divided into thirty -seven (37) wards end the metes and bounds of said wards shall be as follows, to -wit: City Word No. 1 shall comprise. and shall include that area bounded as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the centerline of }darn Street with the shoreline of Corpus Christi Bay, THENCE in a westerly direction along the centerline of YAna Street to an intersection with the centerline of }lest Broadway; TREVOR in a northwesterly direction along the centerline of West Broadway to its intersection with the centerline of Fort Avenue; THENCE due north to the centerline of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel; THENCE east- erly along the centerline of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel to its intersection with the eastern City Limits line as such eastern city limits line existed prior to October 31, 1950; THENCE due south with the said former eastern city limits line to its intersection with the line of Kann Street extended; THENCE westerly along the center line of Vann Street extended to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
