HomeMy WebLinkAbout03008 ORD - 04/10/1951AN ORDINANCE RETURNING TO N0. 296 IMPROVEMENT BMW 3.950 CONSTRUCTION FUND (PARK TMPROvamTs) UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND n[?ROVEMENNTS IN CERTAIN CITY PARKS, SUCH PROJECTSTO BE CONSTRUCTED AND CONPIETED FROM TEE FUNDS OF SAID APPROPRIATIONS, INCLUDING GRADING, LANDSCAPING AND IN- STALLATION OF FACILITIES FOR PARK PURPOSES, BEING SRDWN BY THE ESTIMATES CF THE PARK DEPARTMENT ON FILE IN THE CITY CONTROLLEHIS OFFICE, SAME TO BE CONSTRUCTED AND INSTALLED AS SHOWN CK SAID ESTIMATES; SAID APPROPRIATIONS BEING IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FUND (pm IMPROVEMENTS), 296 ND DECLARING AN EMERCENGY.CINSTRSICTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION lo That there be, and there is hereby, returned to No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Park Improvements) unused ap- pxnpriations as-shown on the Schedule of Appropriations attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. That there be, and there is hereby, appropriated out of No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Park Improvements) $76,656.93 for the cost of construction and improvements in certain City Parks including grading, landscaping and installation of facili- ties for Park Purposes, being shown by the estimates of the Park De- Partment on file in the City Controllers Office, some to be construct- ed and installed as shmm on said estimates from the funds of said appropriations, in the amounts as listed on the attached Schedule of Appropriations. SECTION 3. That the necessity of making the aforesaid adjustments and appropriations in order to facilitate the grading, landscaping and installation of facil.itiea for park purposes as a part of the permanent Perk improvements in the City of Corpus Christi, Taws, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension Of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed " finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meeti.pgs of the City Council, I'd the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, requesting the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be Passed finally on the date of its introduction and take affect and -�D09 SCHED= OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR PARK PURPOSES Original Unused Balance Additional Park Appropriation Appropriations Appropriation Total I.T.
