LOP 5, . BLOCK 38, TO THE ClTr, ALL IN LINDALE
PARK SUBDIVISION SECTION 4 OF THE CITY OF COHFUS
CHRISTI, TKYAS, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT AND IN THE
COPIES OF SAID QUITCLAIM !ND DEDICATION ATTACHED
HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF'; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of Sts Lukas Methodist
Church has requested the City to close a utility easement across Lot 3,
Block 38, for the granting to the City of an easement across Lot 5,
Block 389 all in Lindale Park Subdivision Section 4 of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas, such exchange and relocation being necessitated
by the construction of a recreation building for said church on Lots
3 and 4 in said block of said subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the expense of and actually relocation being
borne and made by said Chnrvhg
IT IS, TMWORE, ORDAINED BY THE CITY COONCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CBRCSTI, TRYASi
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi
is hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to exe-
cute a quitclaim deed to said St. Luke's Methodist Church of a utility
easement across Lot 3, Block 38, Lindale Park Subdivision Section 4 of
the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, in exchange of the granting by said
St. Lukets Methodist Church to the City of an easement across Lot 5,
Eck 38, Lindale Park Subdivision Section 4 of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, all as more particularly described and set out in the
copies of the dedication and the quitclaim and a plat attached hereto
and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That the necessity for the immediate exchange afor7, .
said for the relocation of said easement creates a public emergency and
an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of said Charter
rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date

of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be
read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor,
declaring each emergency and necessity to exist, having requested
the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be pass-
ed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be
in full force and affect from and after its passage, IT IS SC ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist For
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
