PECEIVIAG INTO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS,
PROPERTY ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
BEING 26.03ACRB5 IN' LAND OUT OF.LOTS 12, 13, 5,
AND 4, SECTION 2, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND
GARDEN TRACTS, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AND FULLY DES-
CRIBING SAME AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: DEFINING ITS LIMITS AND DE-
CLARING THE SAME A PART OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS AND THE RULES, REGULATIONS,
ORDINA C93 AND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, The City of Corpus Christi didon the po day of
May, 1951, enter into an agreement with the Bevly and Janssen De-
velopment Corporation, the owner of the fee simple title to the
property herein described, to admit the said property into the City
of Corpus Christi, and
WHEREAS, The express covenants contained in said agreement
have been complied.w•ith and it has been recommended by the Zoning
and Planning Commission of the City of Corpus Christi that such
property be annexed in accordance with the terms of said agreement;
and
WHEREAS, There are no resident voters within said terri-
tory; and
WHEREAS, Said property is adjacent to and adjoins the City
of Corpus Chriati,Texas; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Corpus Christi
deems it advisable and to the best interest of said City that the
following described property be admitted into the Gity of Corpus
Christi, Texas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the territory defined by metes and bound
as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a point, the common corner of Lots 12 and
13, Section 2, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden
Tracts, for the beginning of the description;
THENCE N 61 deg. W 471.0 feet to W corner of this
tract same being the south corner of Windsor Park Unit #1,
a subdivision of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas;
THENCE N 29 deg. E along the southeast line of
Windsor Park Unit #1, a distance of 614.22 feet to a point;
THENCE S 61 deg. Ealong the southwest line of a
eight acre tract owned by the Corpus Christi Independent
School District, a distance of .422,0 feet to a point;
THENCE N 61 deg. E along the southeast line of the
said eight acre tract owned by the Corpus Christi In-
dependent School District a distance of 825,78 feet to
a point in the center of South Alameda Street;
THENCE S 61 deg. E along the center line of South
Alameda Street a d atance of 141.5 feet,
THENCE S 29 deg. W a distance of 2640.0 ft, to a
point in the center of Gollihar Road; -
THENCE N 61 deg. W along the center line of Gollihar
Road a distance of 92.5 ft., the PLACE OF BEGINNING, con-
taining in all 26.03 acres of land.
being out of Lots 12, 13, 5 and 4, Section 2, Flour Bluff and Encinal
Farm and Garden Tracts, Nusces County, Texas, BE AND THE SAID; IS HEREBY
ADMITTED Into the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as an integral part
thereof, and said territory shall hereafter be a part of the City of
Corpus Christi, subject to the general laws of the State of Texas, the
City Charter and the Ordhnances,Resolutions, Motions, and Regulations
of the City of Corpus Christi. Such territory shall bear its propor-
tionate share of all taxes levied by the City and its inhabitants shall
have all the privileges and be subject to all the duties of other in-
habitants of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas.
SECTION 2. That the fact that the owner of such territory
desires that the same be immediately incorporated within the limits
Of the City of Corpus Christi, and the fact that it is imperative for
the wel.11being of the inhabitants of the City of Corpus Christi that
such territory be immediately incorporated within said limits, and
the terms of said annexation agreement having been complied with, create
an emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be pass-
ed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or
resolution shell be read at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the M47or, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist,
having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take
effect and be in full force eid effect from and after its passage,
IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This the day of ]days 7951.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I. therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
