TINS, LOT 7, BLOCK 8, BEHEST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, 7RKAS, OWNED BY D. ZRIG, AS SET FORTH IN THE RELEASE OF SIDEWALK LIEN AS APPEARS HESEIN AND FOR iRE REASONS AS SET FORTH TREREIN; A COPY OF MICH RELEASE IS MADE A PART HEREOF FOR ALL PERTINENT PURPOSES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is hereby authorised and directed to execute a release of sidewalk lien covering special assessment for sidewalk improvement fronting on the East side of Niagra Street and against Lot 7, Block 6, Segreet Addition to the City of Corpus Christi and the real and true owner hereof, D. Zweig, as set forth in said Release of Sidewalk Lien as appears herein, for the reason that said improvements were not canstruoted by the M. J. Construction Com-pany, and no valid lien is in fact in existence, and in fact the name of the property,owher thereof and assessment was deleted in Ordinance No. 1969, and the M. J. Construction Company,having formally released said liens against other property and owners in said area abutting in said street in an inatru- ment dated the 3rd day of January, 1950; said release of lien as appears here- in is made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes. SECTION 2. The necessity for clearing title to lands covered by this special assessment for sidewalk imporvements creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council; and the Mayor, having declared that such public emergency and imperative public necessity exist, and having re- quested that such Charter rule be suspend$d, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED. - PASSED AM APPROVED, This the 2:. day of Nay, 1951• R City of Corpus Christi* Texas l T�t��� .b/ City Secretary APPROVED AS AS TOOGAL FOlUsFOlUs City Attoraay // Corpus Christi, Texas `7� TO THE MMERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas Gentlemen: For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore- going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council: I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council. Zweigi WH&RILAS, a Notice of such action on the part of said City was duly filed in the office of the County Clerk of Nueces County on the 10th day of July, 1946, and recorded in Vol. 338, Taps 405-8 of the Mortgage Records of said county, and AMR AS, By Ordinance 1969, passed by said City on the 29th dry of August, 1946, as amended by Ordinance No. 2049, adopted on the 25th day of 'arch, 1947, and otherproceedin;a of said City Coun- cil, there was loivod ml assesnment against property situated in said areas; and WNSRSAS, the improvenente on said streets were not Constructed by H.
