APPROPRIATING FROM N0. 295 IMPROVEMENT BONW 19118
CONSTRUCTION FUND (AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS) TAE SUM '
OF $1,200 TO REIMBURSE NO. 102 CURRENT FUND AND
DEPOSITED TO THE CREDIT OF ZONING AND PLANNING COM-
MISSI(N OPERATING BUDGET FOR EXPENDITURES REPRE-
SENDING TRAVEL, SUPPLIES AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS
EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED AIRPORT
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOM-
MENDATION OF THE CITY CONTROLLER ATTACHED HERETO;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF M CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated fromNo. 29$
Improvement Bonds 19118 Construction Fund (Airport Improvements)
the sum of $1,200 to reimburse No. 102 Current Fund and to be de-
posited to the credit of Zoning and Planning Commission operating
budget for expenditures representing travel, supplies and other
miscellaneous expenses in connection and requisite to the proposed
airport improvement program in accordance with the recommendation
of the City Controller attached hereto;
SECTION 2. That the necessity of reimbursement of the
operating budget of Zoning and Planning Commission by the afore-
said appropriation immediately creates a public emergency and an
imperative public necessity requiring thesuspension of the Charter
Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and
the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist,
having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and
take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its pass -
age, IT IS SO PASSED AND APPROVED This the day of June, 1951,

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at-three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.

I have been advised ter Mr. Anderson of the Zoning and
Planning Division that he has expended a total of $1,200.00
in travel, other expenses, and supplies out of his operating
funds in connection vith the proposed Airport Improvement
Program.
It is therefore requested that an ordinance be passed appro-
priating 61,,200.00 out of No. ? Airport Drainage and
Improvement Fund to cover these expenditures. This amount
UM be paid to No. 102 Current Fiord and deposited tot he
credit of the Zoning and Planning C=ni.ssion's operating
budget.
