SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 3008, passed and approved by the City Council on the 10th day of April, 1951, returning to No. 296 Improvement Bonds 3.950 Construction Fund (Park Improve- ments) certain unused appropriations and making certain appropria- be amended tionr/ by cancelling Item No. 13 for Blucher Park as to the unencum- bered balance of Item No. 13 in the amount of $6,400000. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 3008, passed and approved by the City Council on the 10th day of April, 1951, returning to Noe 296 Improvement Bonds 3.950 Construction Fund (Park Improve- ments) certain unused appropriations and making certain appropria- be amended tions/by increasing Item No. 19 for Sherrill Park in the amount of $9,866.56, making the total appropriation for Sherrill Park the sum of $14,166.56; as such items appear in said amended ordinance and as shown on the sheet attached setting forth the status of said park appropriations as of April 30, 1951, 3d4 7 i SECTION 4 That the necessity for maldng the aforesaid , "adjustments and appropriation in order to facilitate the improve- ment of Sherrill Park as a part of the permanent park improvements in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed final- 2y on the date of its introduction andthat such ordinance or reso- lution shall be read at throe several meetings of the City Council, and the l Wort having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, requesting the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordi- nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that it take effect and be in full force and affect from and after its PASSAGE, TT IS SO PASSED AND APPROVED, This the §fdy of June, A.D. 1951. 0 City of Corpus Christi, Texas EST: sore erg APPROVED AS LEGAL FORK: A rney / Corpus Christi, Texas TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas Gentlement For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore- . going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at.three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
