STREET FROM THE NORTHERN BOUNDARY LINE OF NEMEC STREET 70 A NORTHERLY DIRECTION TO THE NORTHERN LINE EMMND- ED OF LOT 26, MUCK 1 OF NEMEC SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, AND ORDERING AND DIRECTING THE RETURN OF SUCH PROPERTY CLOSED FOR STREET PURPOSES TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE DEDICATION THEREOF VACATED; AND DECLAIMIG AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Corpus Christi has received request for the closing of that portion of Hasek Street in Nemec Addition for street purposes; and WHEREAS, Notice of the proposed closing of said street has been given by publication and by mail to the last known address of all owners of property abutting said street and within 450 feet therefrom, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Corpus Christi as provid- ed under Article II, Section 6, thereof; and WHEREAS, In accordance with such Notice, a public hearing was held on the eighth day of May, 1950, at 4.00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at Corpus Christi, Texas, andthe matter was taken under advisement; and WHEREAS, The public welfare, convenience and necessity will be better served by the closing of such street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS: SECTION I. That that portion of Hasek Street described as. Hasek Street from the northern boundary line of r Nemec Street to a norther]y dLrection to the northern line extended of Lot 26, Block 1 of the Nemec Subdivision of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, bay and the same is hereby, closed as a public use, and the dedication thereof is hereby vacated. SECTION II. That the City of Corpus Christi hereby quit- claims any title or interest it may have in and to that part of Hasek Street described in Section I hereof and which is herein closed, and it is hereby ordered and directed that such right, title and interest thereto heretofore held by the City of Corpus Christi shall revert to l' the abutting property owners entitled to the same. - -- -�?0 70 SECTION III. That the fact that public convenience and necessity will be better served by the closing of said street and that the immediate closing thereof is of greatest public importance creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the sus- pension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shalt be passed finally on the date of its introduction andthat such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayors having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, requesting the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally the day it is introduced and that it take effect and be in full force and affect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORD - INOLY PASSED AND APPROVED This the 1—t /,Z of June, A.D. 1951.
