BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE CITY CMXIL OF TI3E CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City of Corpus
Christi to execute a release of proported lien against the
property abutting that portion of Alameda Street from the South
boundary line of Clifford Street to the North boundary line of
Louisiana Avenue and the real and true owners thereof created by
certain proceedings of the City of Corpus Christi, for and in
consideration of the fact that assessments against said property
and oviners were cancelled by ordinance and such improvements made
and the cost thereof paid by the City, all as more fully set out
in said release, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
SECTION 2. That the necessity of removing the cloud
on the title to said property immediately creates a public emergency
and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of such
Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and
the I„ayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist,

having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that
this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSM AND APPROUD,

Gentlemen-
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at -three meetings of the
City Council, 1,.therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.

of Septembers 1946, by the City Council, the City of Corpus Ghristi,
hereinafter called *0 "GiVvp determined the necessity for and
ordered the improvemant of certain property including that portion
of Alameda Street fromuthe South boundary line of Clifford Street
to line North Boundary line of Louisiana Avenue by raising, grading,
filling, widening, paving,. repaving, or repairing same, by the con -
struction, reconstruction, repairing, or re- aligning sidewalks,
burbs and Cutters along said street be'ween those limits described
and providing that an assessment be levied against abutting property
and owners thereof; and

prodoes and the fact that the improvements made tinder and by

that portion of Alsmada Street from the South property line of
Clifford Street to the Worth line of Louisiana Street were re-
ceived and accepted by the City of Corpus Christi and the cost
thereof paid by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as aforesaid,

the South property lane of Clifford Street and the North line of
Louisiana Avenue and the real and true owners thereof, from azW
