EXPENDITURES FOR THE INSTALLATION CF STREET MARKER POST ALREADY MA IS AND HOT COVER BY ORDINANCE No. 3066 BETNEEN THE PERIOD APRIL 16, 3.951 TO JULY 31, 1951, AND SUCH OTHER EXPENDITURES TO BE MADE NECESSARY TO THE INSTALLATION OF PERMANENT TYPE STREET MAR0RS UP TO SUCH AMOUNT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATION OF CITY CONTROLLER ATTACHED HERE- TO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGKNCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEIAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 296 Dm. provement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Improvements) the sum of $3,500 to reimburse No. 102 Current Fund andto be deposited to the credit of the Police Division Code DI to cover expenditures for the installation of Street Marker Posts already made and not covered by Ordinance No, 3066 between the period April 16, 1951 to July 31, 1951, and such other expenditures to be made necessary to this installation of permanent type street markers up to such amount, in accordance with the recommendation from the City Controller attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. That the necessity of making the aforesaid appropria- tions and reimbursement immediately creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date Of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at throe several meetings Of the City Council, and the Mayor, declaring such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed final- 4 on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED This the _day of July, 19 1. City Manager From X- a. .,.af, City Controller Date July 31, 1951 Since April 16, 1951 the Building Maintenance Division through the Police Division appropriation Code DI has installed 400 street marker posts at a cost of $8.75 each. Ordinance #3066 appropriated a sufficient amount to reimburse the Police Department for installation through April 15, 1951, and it is requested that an additional appro- priation for $3,500.00 be made authorizing reimbursement of the current fund for installations since that date. , /)/, - t /-, , (�, G.
