HUNDRED DOLLARS ($3,800) FROM SEAWALL
AND BREAKWATER CONSTRUCTION FUND NO. ,
258 FOR PLACING OF SURFACE TMA MP•kT
ON L -HEAD; AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR N
OF PUBLIC WORKS TO PROCEED WITH WORK
WITH CITY FORCES; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY. '

WHEREAS, There is needed approximately Three
Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($3,800) for cost of placing
surface treatment on the L -Head; and
WHEREAS, There are sufficient funds available for
such construction costs in Seawall and Breakwater Construction
Fund No. 258; and
WHEREAS, It is contemplated that said work will be
done by City Forces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. _
SECTION 1. Then is hereby appropriated the sum of
Three Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($3,800) from Fund No. 258
Seawall and Breakwater•Constracticn Fund for the placing of
surface treatment on the L -Head,
SECTION 2. The Director of Public Works of the City
Of Corpus Christi is hereby directed to proceed with the work '
described herein, such work to be performed by City Forces.
SECTION 3. The fact that it is necessary to place
surface treatment on the L-Head in order to preserve the public
health, safety and welfare creates a public emergency and an
imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter '
rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date of its introduction and that ordinance or resolution shall
be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the
Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, ,
having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that
this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force and effect fromagd after the
date of its passage, IT IS ACCORDINOLY S,O,.,,ORDAINED.

Gentlemen,
For the reasons net forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at.three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.

of Corpus Christi to the credit of No. 258 Seawall and Breakwater
Construction Fund 03.800) '
Fund from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not
appropriated for any other purpose.
