ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY,
TEXAS, IN EXCHANGE FOR TEE CONVEYANCE BY THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY TO THE CITY OF A'D.122 ACRE TRACT OUT OF LOTS
12 AND 13 IN BLOCK 20 CRAVEN HEIGHTS ADDITION, 71HICH -
EXCHANGE WILL CAUSE THE 'NEST BOUNDARY LINE OF T. C.AYERS
PARK TO BE LESS IRREGULAR, TO THE MUTUAL ADVANTAGE OF THE
CITY AND THE ;HOUSING AUTHORITY, A COPY OF SUCH EXCRANCE
DEEDS BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEFECF; AND
DECLAR NG AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, The City of Corpus Christi and the Housing Authority -
of the City of Corpus Christi being the owners of certain adjoining
land in Craven Heights Addition, it is to the mutual benefit of both
the City of Corpus Christi and the Housing Authority that the west
line of T. C. Ayers Park be straightened out by an exchange of a por-
tion of such properties as hereinafter described=
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXASs
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed for and on behalf of the
City to execute a deed conveying to the Housing Authority a parcel of
of land, being 0.122 acres out of the Salt Flat area including an area
sometimes` considered as being a portion of lots 9 and 10, Block 192 and
a portion of lot 6 in Block 20, Craven Heights Addition to the City, in
exchange for the conveyance of a 0.122 acre tract out of Lots 12 and 13,
Block 20, Craven Heights Addition, from the Housing Authority to the
City, a copy of which deeds are attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SFCTIC14 2. That the Public

the City in that it causes the west line of T. C. Ayers Park to be less
irregular, creates a public emergency and an imperative public neces-
sity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance
or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and
such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meeting. of
the City Council,
the Mayor, declaring such emergency and necessity to exists hav-
ing requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and
take effect and be in full force and effect from and after itts_� p
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED. This the ae

the laws of the State of Texas, acting herein by and through its
duly authorised City Nananger, W. B. Collier, for and in considera-
tion of the sum of TEN DOLLARS (SID) to it in hand paid by the
Housing Authority of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and in
further cousidaratiiVn of a conveyance by the grantee herein to
the City of Corpus Christi of even date herewith, and other good
and valuable consideration, receipt, of which is hereby acknowledged,
has GRANTED, BAROAINEP, SOLD AND CONVEYED, and by these presents
dome GRANT, BARGAIN,IdSELL D CONVEY Unto the said HOUSING AUTHORITY
of THE CITY OF CORPUS CRRIa, TEXAS, the following described tracts
of parcels of land being situated in Nueces County, Texas, more
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
A parcel or tract of land of irregular shape
situated in Nneces County, Texas, and within
the corporate limits of the City of Corpus Christi,
about one-half mile west of the County Courthouse,
being a portion of Survey No. 21, patented by the
State of Texas to Levi Jones, assignee of Jose Nana
Bargas, Abstract No. 17, andembracing a portion of a
10.48 acre tract surveyed for Mrs. Rosalie B. Prior,
widow of J. N. Pricer, by C. F. H. v. Blucher, County
Surveyor of Nuecss County, Toxaa, in June and July,
1890, and recorded in the records of the County
Surveyor of said Nueces County, in Book B No. 2 at
Page 31, -being Survey No. 480, and a portion of a
0.34 acre tract, Surveyed 9180 by said C. F. H. v.
Blucher during the Same period, for Julian Priour
and recorded in said County Surveyorle Records in
Book B No. 2 At page 29, being suTV No. 482A, to-
getber with a portion of a tract of land out of the
now dry bed of a former lake or pond, known AS Salt
Lake, conveyed to B. B. Baldwin, Trustee, by W. E.
Pope and wife on January 31, 1930, as of record in the
Deed of Trust Records of Known County, Texas, in
Volume la, at page 622. Said parcel or tract of Land
is a part of a 3.983 acre tract conveyed tq, the City -

Texas, in Volume 399 at page 297, and now desig-
nated as T. C. Ayers Park, and is Comprised of a
yortion of Lot 6 in Block 20 of Craven Height.,
an'addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas,
shown on map of raoorcl in the office of the County
Clark Of Cuaces County, Tawas, in UP Book A on
page 7, lying east of the old mender line of the
vast margin of Paid nor dry former lake or pond
known as Salt Lake, as described in Said survays of
the Prior 10.48 acre and 0.34 acre tracts, together

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinanoe, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at -three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council,
