APPROPRIATING $720.90 FROM NO. 296 IMPROVEMENT BONDS 1950
CONSTRUCTION FUND (STREET TRAFFIC CONTROL) FOR PAYMENT TO
NO. 102 CURRENT FUND TO REMORSE THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
FOR EXPENDITURE ON THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC CONTROL
SIGNAL AT THE CORNER OF.THIRD AND CRAIG STREETS IN THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SAID INSTALLATION BEING MADE WITH CITY
FORCES; AND DECLARING.AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, There is needed approximately $720.90 TO COVER the
cost of materials and labor used in the installation of a Street Traf-
fie Control Signal at the corner of Third and Craig Streets in the
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, such installation having been made with
force account labor and material by the Traffic Division of the Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, There are sufficient_ funds available and unappropriat-
ed in No. 296 Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Traffic
Control) with which to reimburse the Police Department for expenditures
on this projects
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 296
Improvement Bonds 1950 Construction Fund (Street Traffic Control) the
sum of $720.90 for payment to No. 102 Current Fund reimbursing the
Police Department for expenditures in the installation of a traffic
control signal at the corner of Third and Craig Streets-in the City
of Corpus Christi, which project is being installed with force account
labor and material by the Traffic Division of the Police Department in
accordance with the request for reimbursement attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
SECTIM 2. That the necessity for immediately reimbursing said
Traffic Division for said expenditures, said project being vital to the
Public Safety, creates a public emergency and an imperative public neces-
sity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and

that such ordinance or resolution shallbe read at three several meet-
ings of the City Council, and the Mayor, declaring such emergency and
necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter
rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its in-
troduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after its passage,- IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This the

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for,
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Councils
