This AGREEMENT made and entered into this the day of
November, A- At 1951, by and between the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. a
municipal corporation. hereinafter called "City° and the UPTOWN R£r7ANIS
CLUB, Corpus- Christi, Texas, a service club acting as sponsors of a Boy
Scout Troop. hereinafter called "Lessee" -
AITNESSETHs

said Leases, the following
floes by these presents lease and demise unto the
described premises, to -wit'
A room approximately 121 1 3/4" z 34' 9 3/4" being
in the Southwest corner of the recreational building
an i and the garage
Field and as
"Office"
for the term of five (5) years, said lease beginning the day of completion
of said recreational building and ending five (5) years from that date,
subject to the following conditions and covenants'
1. The Uptown Kiwanis Club hereby and by these presents - agrees to
aocept, said premises as completed, to maintain said premises during the term
of this instrument in a Olean and sanitary condition, and st the expiration
thereof 'to return said promises to-City in as good condition as received,
reasonable use, wear, acts of God, fire and flood excepted.
2. No additions or alterations shall be made to the promises with
the consent of the City in writing, and any and all improvements placed
on said premises which are unattached to the building may be moved by the
Lessee at the expiiatin of this lease-
3. It is the intention of the uptown Kiwnis Club that the premises
shall be for the use of the Boy Scout Troop sponsored by amid Uptown Ki w an is
Club -and for no other purpose.
4. The Lessee agrees to pay for all utilities used on the premises
leased by it.
5, Lessee agrees to conform to all rules set out by the City
a Christi, Texas, for the operation of the leased
manager of the City of Corpu
premises-
6. The Lessee shall promptly execute and fulfill all the
ordinances of the City of Corpus Christi applicable to said premises,
and all orders and requirements imposed by the Board of Health, Sanitary,
T Fire and Police Departments, for the correction, prevention and abatement
of nuisances and /or hazards in, upon, or connoted with said premises
during the term of this lease at its cxm expense.
7.• The City shall not be responsible for damages to property
or,injury to persons which may arise incident to the exercise of the rights
and privileges herein granted.
8. This contract contains all the provisions agreed upon by the
parties hereto and displaces all previous verbal or oral agreements.

Gentleman:
:• For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
