D., 1952, BY AMENDING SHEET NUMBERED 6 OF THE FINAL PAVING ASSESSMENT UNDER SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE CORRECTING THE ASSESSMENT LEVIED AGAINST BENNETT OCKER ON AYERS STREET BETWEEN WATSON STREET INTERSECTION AND NORTON STREET INTERSECTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Whereas, under item four of sheet numbered 6 of the "Final Paving Assessment" as shown under Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3324, passed and approved by the City Council on the 23rd day of September, A. D., 1952, there was assessed against Bennett Ocker paving costs on the basis of 450 foot frontage; and Whereas, said assessment should have been on the basis Of "0 foot frontage, inasmuch as the owner had heretofore granted to the City of Corpus Christi a utilities easement covering 10 feet of such frontage; Now, Therefore, for the reasons set forth above, said sheet numbered 6 of the "Final Paving Assessment" under Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3324, passed and approved by the City Council on the 23rd day of September, A. The necessity for amending said Ordinance No. 3324 ASSESSMENT AGAINST in order to show the correct% property owners abutting upon Ayers Street within the limits above defined, and in order to properly levy assessments concerning same, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity, requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule, that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested that the Charter Rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
