BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY TO ACQUIRE A STRIP OF LAND TEN (10) FEET IN WIDTH AND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY (580) FEET IN LENGTH OUT OF LOT 21 SECTION 2 OF THE BOHEMIAN COLONY LANDS IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, FOR THE USE OF THE UTILITY DEPARTMENT, FROM FRED BRANDESKY AND WIFE ALBINA BRANDESKY FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY -FIVE DOLLARS ($145.00), SAID TRACT OF LAND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN A COPY OF THE UTILITY EASEMENT ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. SECTION 2. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO DO ALL THINGS REQUISITE AND NECESSARY IN CONNECTION WITH SAID ACQUISITION DESCRIBED IN SECTION I HEREOF. SECTION j. THAT THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 297 SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY -FIVE DOLLARS (5$145.00) TO DE PAID FRED BRANDESKY AND WIFE ALBINA BRANDESKY AS CONSIDERATION FOR THE UTILITY EASEMENT CONVEYING THE LAND DESCRIBED HEREIN TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 4. THAT THE PUBLIC IMPORTANCE OF OBTAINING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PROPERTY FOR THE UTILITY DEPARTMENT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IIHIPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE PROVIDING THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE ��73 BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
