AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE FOR AND ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI A CONTRACT WITH PARKDALE
DEVELOPERS INC. PROV ID IIJG FOR THE DEDICATION OF AN AREA
OF APPROXIMATELY .1 ACR'c5 IN CONNECTION WITH A SUBDIVISION
TO BE KNOWN AS PARKDALE ADDITION, A COPY OF WHICH CONTRACT
IS ATTACHED HERETO AND HARE A PART HEREOF FOR ALL PURPOSES;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HERESY AUTHORIZED AIID DIRECTED
TO EXECUTE FOR A140 ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRIS41, TEXAS, A CONTRACT
V TH PARKDALE DEVELOPERS, INC., PROVIDING FOR THE DEDICATION. OF AN AREA OF
APPROXIMATELY 8.1 ACRES FOR PARK PURPOSES IN CONNECTION WITH A SUBDIVISION TO
BE KNOWN AS PARKDALE ADDITION, A COPY OF WHICH CONTRACT IS ATTACHED HERETO AND
MADE A PART HEREOF FOR ALL PURPOSES.
SECTION Z. THAT THE NECESSITY FOR ENTERING INTO AGREEMENT WITH
PARKDALE DEVELOPERS, INC., SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEVELOPME14T OF PARKDALE
ADDITION TO THE BEST IIITEREST OF THE PUBLIC AND BIND ThE SAID DEVELOPERS TO
THE CITY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN
IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT
NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTIOU SHALL BE PASSED FILIALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO-
DUCTION AIID THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL
MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AIID THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGEIICY
AFD NECESSITY TO EXIST, 14AVIIIG REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND

agent as compliance with the reVireeaent for park dedication in connection

the requirezent for the provision of the Sand for rood sections adjacent to
said park within the limits of said 1A7.507 acres.
