Y .+ LIF WHICH CONTRACT IT IS AGREED BY SAID PARKDALE DEVELOPERS, INC., AND OTHERS TO IMPROVE GOLLIHA N WITH EXPLANATORY PLATS ON FILE WITH THE PLATS COMMITTEE OF THE ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION FILED ON OCTOBER 22, 1954, AND COMPLETE SAID IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN TWO (2) YEARS FROM OCTOBER 25, 1954 A COPY OF WHICH CONTRACT IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF FOR ALL PURPOSES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, A CONTRACT WITH PARKDALE DEVELOPERS, INC., HARRY WEISMAN, ABE KATZ, BEN D. MARKS AND CEDRIC MARKS, BY THE TERMS OF WHICH CONTRACT IT IS AGREED BY SAID PARKDALE DEVELOPERS, INC., AND OTHERS TO IMPROVE GOLLIHAR ROAD AND PARKDALE DRIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH E:PLANATORY PLATS ON FILE 11ITH THE PLATS COMMITTEE OF THE ZONING A ^ID PLANNING COMMISSION FILED 014 OCTOBER 22, 1954; AND COMPLETE SAID IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN TWO (2) YEARS FROM OCTOBER 251 1554, A COPY OF WHICH CONTRACT IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF FOR ALL PURPOSES. SECTION 2. THAT THE NECESSITY FOR ENTERING INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE DEVELOPERS OF PARKDALE ADDITION AND OTHERS SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEVELOP- MENT OF PARKDALE ADDITION TO THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE PUBLIC AND BIND THE SAID DEVELOPERS TO THE CITY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL SE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR, HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF SAID CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PAS AGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED TH15 THE DAY OF MA 01,, f 1954.
