BOND IMPROVE11ENT FUND TEE SUM OF $5,410.80 TO COVER TIM
COST OF TRAFFIC CONTROL INSTALLATIONS AT TEE FOLLOWING
INTERSECTIONS IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY,
TE%ASt DODDRIDGE STREET AND ALAI ®A STREET; ANMDPE STREET
AND LAS1ENCE STREET; LIPAN STREET AND PALM DRIVE; BALDWIN
BOULEVARD AND NIAGARA STREET; BALDWIN BOULEVARD AND PRESCOTT
STREET; PROVIDING FOR SUCH INSTALLATIONS TO BE DONE BY CITY
FORCES; AND DECLARING All EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEP.ASt
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 209 Street
Traffic Control System Bond Improvement Fund the sum of $5,1110.50 to cover
the cost of traffic control installations at the following intersections
in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
Doddridge Street and Alameda Street ........... $1,073.01
Antelope Street and Lawrence Street........... 1,165.76
Lipan Street and Palm Drive ................... 1,023.01
Baldwin Boulevard and Niagara Street.......... 1,073.01
Baldwin Boulevard and Prescott Street......... 1,073.01
TOTAL . . . . . . . $5,1410.80
SECTION 2. That installations of the above traffic control signals
shall be done by City Forces.
SECTION 3. That the necessity of providing adequate traffic signals
immediately as a part of the traffic system of the City of Corpus Christi
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the
suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor,
having declared such emergency and necessity, requesting the suspension of
said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its
introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.

GENTLEMEN:
FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE
FOREGOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST
FOR THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORD NANCE
OF PESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT 15 INTRODUCED,
AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS
')F THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID
CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE
IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
