AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRTATIM AN ADDITIONAL SUM OF $693.50
OUT OF NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND IMPROVEMENT
FUND TO COMPLETE THE PROCTOR- BRAWNCR STORM
SEWER, UNTT I, FROM CORPU HRISTI BAY TO
APPROXIMUMY 200 FEET BEYOND f7rear.FC STREET,
HEIDG DESIGNATED AS "PROJECT PWS -1 ", BY EM
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF AMARILLO, TEXAS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
" WEEMS, by Ordinance No. 3723, passed and approved on the 7th day
of April 1954, there was appropriated the sum of $384,132.76 out of No. 295 Storm
Sewer Bond Improvement Fund for the construction of Proctor - Brawner Storm Sewer,
Unit I, by Enix Construction Company of Amarillo, Texas; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate an additional $693.50 to
complete said project; .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated an additional amount
of $693.50 out of No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond Improvement Fund to cover cost of
additional material to tie in existing drainage along Proctor - Browner Ditch in
connection with the project being carried out by Enix Construction Company of
Amarillo, Texas in connection with the gonstruction of Proctor - Brawner Storm Sewer,
Unit I.
SECTION 2. That the necessity for making an additional appropriation
of funds in order that the Proctor- Brawner Storm Sewer, Unit I, may be completed
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the sus-
pension of the Charter role that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several. meetings of the City Council,and the Mayor, having declared such
emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter
rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
