The resolution was read by the Cit- Secretary. The Idayor presented to the Council a communication in Smiting pertaining to said proposed resolution, as follows: Corpus Christi, Texas, December / , 1954. Gentle''Len: For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing resolution, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requireirFent that no ordinance or resolutions shall be passed finally or, the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council. I there- fore hereby request that you suspend said Chatter rule or requirement and adopt this resolution finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
