AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING FROM NO. 209 STREET TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM
BOND IMPROVEMEIIT FUND THE SIUd OF $17,472.00 TO COVER THE
COST OF TRAFFIC CONTROL INSTALLATIONS IN THE CITY OF
" CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AS LISTED HEREIN;
> PROVIDING FOR SUCH INSTALLATIONS TO BE DONE BY CITY FORCES;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT CRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 209 Street
Traffic Control System Bond Improvement Fund the sum of $17,472.00 to cover
the cost of traffic control installations in the City of Ccrnus Christi, Texas,
as follows:

499 Raiee and Renovate old signs......... at $9.50 ... 4,740.50
24 Replace Yield with Stop Signs ....... at $12,50 ... 300.00

SECTION 2. That installations of the above traffic control devices
shall be done by City Forces.
SECTION 3. That the necessity of providing adequate traffic con-
trol devices immediately as a part of the traffic system of the City of Corpus
Christi creates a public emergency and an imperative public•neceasity requiring
the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be
passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or re-
solution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the
Mayor, having declarQd such emergency and necessity, requesting the suspension

of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of
its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SD ORDAINED.
