UNAPPROPRIATED FUNDS APPROPRIATED FROM NO. 295 STORM
SEWER IMPROVEMENT FUND, BY ORDINANCE NO. 2711, TO COVER
THE COST OF ENGINEERING FEE IN CONNECTION WITH BALDWIN
AND SRELY STORM SEWER EXTENSION; AIiD ECLARiNG AN
WHEREAS, There was appropriated out of No. 297 Sanitary Sewer
Bond Improvement Fund, by Ordinance No. 2711, a sum of money sufficient to
cover the cost of a contract with Freeze, Nichols and Turner for engineering
fees in connection with Sanitary Sewer System Disposal Plant; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the money from this appropriation use not
used and it is now necessary to restore this unused portion to the unappropriated
balance of Fund No. 297 - Sanitary Sewer Bond Improvement Fund; this sum being
$672.68; and
WHEREAS, There was appropriated out of No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond
Improvement Fund - by Ordinance No. 2711, a a= of money sufficient to cover
the cost of a contract with Freeze, Nichols and Turner for engineering fees
in connection with storm sewer extensions; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the money from this appropriation was not
used and it is now necessary to restore this unused portion to the unappropriated
balance of Fund No. 295 - Storm Sewer Bond Improvement Fund; this sum being
$468.8o:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the sum of $672.68 appropriated out of No. 297
Sanitary Sewer Bond Improvement Fund by Ordinance No. 27111 is hereby restored
to the unappropriated balance of Fund No. 297 - Sanitary Sewer Bond Improvement
Fund, due to the fact that said amount, being part of sum appropriated to cover
the cost of engineering fees for sanitary sewer disposal plants, was not used.
SECTION 2. That the sum of $468.80 appropriated cut of No. 295 Storm Sews
Bond Improvement Fund by Ordinance No. 2711, is hereby restored to the unappro-
priated balance of Fund No. 295 - Storm Sewer Bond Improvement Fund - due to the
fact that said amount, being part of sum appropriated to cover the cost of
engineering fees for storm sewer improvements, was not used.

SECTION 3. The necessity for restoring the abovementioned
$672.68 to No. 297 Sanitary Sewer Bond Improvement Fund and $468.80 to No.
295 Storm Sewer Bond Improvement Fund creates a public emergency and an im-
perative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that
no ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the
City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and neces ity
to exist, requesting the suspension of said Charter rule and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect
and be in full force and effect from and after its pass IT IS ACCORDINGLY

-For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
r'ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the euepen -'
-sion of the- Charter Rule or requirement that no ordiaence_or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that4n=h ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass
this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting
of the City Council.
