Whereas, By Ordinanob 'No. 3862, passed and approved on the
1st day of September, 1954�,=thea0ity-- Cimmo,L7.- authorized -the City - Manager to
execute a contract with Braselton Construction Company for the construction
of the Utilities Building to be constructed at the south of the City Ha11
In the City of Corpus Christi, and appropriated the sum of $x.75,784.04 to
corer the cost of such construction= and
WHEREAS, It is now necessary to make alterations on Utility
Building (Sheet rock on all partitions bebind the plywood, including millwork
and to appropriate an additional sum of $1,025.00 for such alteration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORPUS CHRISTI, TEAA.S:
SECTION 1: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,025.00
from No. 202 City of Corpus Christi Waterworks System Construction Fund for al-
terations on Utility Building (Sheet rock on all partitions behind the plywood,
including millwork) to be constructed south of the City Hall by Braselton Con-
struction Company.
SECTION 2: The necessity for the construction of the said Utility
Building for the City of Corpus Christi creates an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule providing no ordinance or resolution
sha11 be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance
or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the
Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the
suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, it IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This
