APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $37,000 FROM VARIOUS
BOND FONDS FCR CONTINGENT CHARGES IN CONNECTION
WITH CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS; PROVIDING THAT THE
UNUMMID BALANCE ON APRIL 30, 1955 SHALL HE-
VERT TO THE PARENT FUND; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY come , OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from various bond
finds as indicated in the following table the sum of $37,000 to provide
for contingent charges in connection with construction projects:

SECTION 3. That the unexpended balance of
aforesaid appro-
priation on April 30, 1955 shall revert to the fumdsfmm wbich it was ap-
propriated, and further provided that no funds shall be paid out of the
funds hereby
appropriated except with the approval of the City Council
on motion passed by majority of the Council.

contingent expenditures in order to permit the continued progress of
construction projects creates a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity, requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3) several meet-
ings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency
and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said Charter
rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date
of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO ORDAIM&D.
