CITY RECREATION DEPARTMENT TO NUMBER. 102 CURRENT
FOND; PROVIDING THAT ALL RECEIPTS OF THE PARK AND
RECREATION DEPARTMENT ARE HEREAFTER TO BE DEPOSITED
IN THE CURRENT FUND; ESTIMATING SUCH REVENUES AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
YWREAS, The Recreation Division has heretofore maintained
an account in the State National Bank in the name of "City Recreation
Department "; and
FHIEREAS, It is necessary'that said account be consolidated
with the current Hand: `
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT CRDA32TED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the balance of 01,058.96 deposited in the
State National Bank to the account of the City Recreation Department is
hereby transferred into and made a part of Number 102 Current Fund.
SECTION 2. That, hereafter, all receipts from recreation
fees, sales and other revenues accruing to the Park and Recreation De-
partment shall be deposited in the Current Fund, as a result of which
current fund recreation revenues as estimated in the budget for the fiscal
year ending July 31, 1955, will be increased in the estimated amount of =
06,000.
SECTION 3. The necessity for consolidating the City Recrea-
tion Department account with the current fund in order to improve the
City's fiscal administration creates a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity, requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3) several meet -
Inge of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency
and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said Charter
rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date
Of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO ORDAINED.
PASSED AND APPROVED, This the day of January, 1955.

FOR THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORD.NANCE
OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED,
AND THAT SUCH OPD-NANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS
'If THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID
CHAPTER PULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE
IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
