AND DECLARING Ali Et- MMNCY.
WHRREAS, By Ordinance 3804 there was appropriated out of No. 202 City
of Corpus Christi Waterworks System Construction Puna the amount of $45,000.00
• including engineering fees for the construction of lime storage and handling £acil-
sties for the John W. Cunningham Water Filtrating Plant and was authorized that the
engineering firm of Reagan and McCaughan proceed with the preparation of plene and
specifications for such improvement; and
WELTEAS, It is now deemed that the lime storage and handling facilities
are not required at this time:
NOW, BE IT CRD_MED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF CORPUS CIERISTI,
TMAS;
SECTION 1. That the unexpended balance of ;43,370.10 remaining from the
appropriation of $45,000.00 from the No. 202 City of Corpus Christi Uaterworks Con-
struction Fund for construction of the lime storage and handling facilities for the
John W. Cunningham Water Filtration Plant is hereby restored to the No. 202 City
of Corpus Christi Waterworks Construction Fund.
SECTION 2. The necessity for restoring the unexpended balance of the
appropriation to the construction fund cremes a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or '
resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the Erayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to e:;ist, requesting the
suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date
of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPiO rVED. , This the/ /� day of January, 1555.
