BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated an amount of $4,000.00 out of No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond Improvement Fund for the testing of concrete in connec- tion with the Gollihar Storm Sewer and the Proctor - Brawner Storm Sewer by Shilstone Laboratories for $400.00 and Trinity Testing laboratory for $3,600.00 to April 30, 1955• SECTION 2. That the unexpended balance of aforesaid appropriation on April 30, 1955, shall revert to the fund for which it was appropriated, and further provided that no funds shall be paid out of the funds hereby appropriated, except with the approval of the City Council on motion passed by a majority of the Council. SECTION 3. That the necessity for making an appropriation of funds in order that the testing of concrete for the Gollihar Storm Sewer and Proctor- Brawner Storm Sewer be performed creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance,or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDIHGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This the rlsy of January, 1955- ''--'�� C MAYOR CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, T41 ES� t C ATTty Becretqry APPROVED AS "' LEGAL I20RM: City Attor ey /- /I,/,- -5 1>� I certify to the City Council that the money required for the contract, agreement, obligation, or expenditure contemplated is the above and foregoing Ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of No.��� . o2u Fund from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose.
