' ,.,,3a•.,, •s:.. _ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR TEE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING AUGUST 1, 1954 AND ENDING JULY 31, 1955; APPROPRI- ATING AND /OR TRANSFERRING THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $37,696 TO TEE ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION DIVI- SION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the total accruing revenue of the City is in excess of the total estimated income thereof in that various services in connec- tion with bond fund projects are being rendered and will be rendered by City forces and said bond funds have been appropriated for the purpose of paying for said services; and WHEREAS, there remains certain unencumbered balances of certain appropriations heretofore made in accordance with the requirements of the City budget for the fiscal year August 1, 1954 through July 31, 1955: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the amount of $21,950 is hereby appropriated from Number 102 Current Fumd to the extent that additional revenues to support said appropriation shall be obtained through reimbursement from bond funds. SECTION 3. That the amount of $5,420 is hereby transferred from the emergency and non - recurring expenditure account in Number 102 Current Fond to the Engineering and Construction Division. SECTION 4. That the amount of Engineering and Construction Division expenditures to be paid by operating funds other than the Current Fund, herein referred to as proration of administration, shall be paid from the unencumbered balances remaining in the administration accounts of the various funds as follows: FUND AMOUNT Water Fund $ 4,130 Gas Fund 3,096 Sewer Fund 2,065 Street Fund 1,033 Total $10,326 SECTION 5. That the necessity for Providing a sufficient budget and appropriations to Provide engineering services for bond construction projects creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity, re- quiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance ahall be read at three (3) several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayer having declared that 'such emergency and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage„ IT IS SO ORDAIN0.
