BE g ORDAINM BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 200 Gas System Bond Improvement Fund the sum of $97,146.46 for the construction of the project desig- nated as "Rehabilitation of Gas Mains in the Six Points Area" of the City of Corpus Christi, being $28,716.06 for materials acquired by and to be furnished by the City to the contractor, a list of which is attached hereto, and contractor's services in the amount of $60,430.40, and contingencies in the amount of $8,000.00. SECTION 2. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Barry Construction Company for the construction work on this project, in accordance with plans and specifications and contract documents, made a part hereof by reference, all of which are on file in the office of the City Secretary. SECTION 3. That the unexpended balance of aforesaid $8,000.00 appropriation for contingencies on April 30, 1955, shall revert to the fund for which it was appro- priated, and further provided that no funds shall be paid out of the contingency fund hereby appropriated, except with the approval of the City Council on motion passed by a majority of the Council. SECTION 4.
