FUNDS FOR THE EXPENSES IN CON NECTION WITH SALE OF
$3,465,000 IN VARIOUS CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI BONDS
SOLD DECEMBER 15, 1954; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
WHEREAS, The following expenses and services totaling $10,218,36
have been incurred in connection with the sale of $3,465,000 in City of Corpus
Christi Bonds sold December 15, 1954;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from various bond funds
indicated in the following table the sum of $10,218,36 for the services and ex-
penses of McCall, Parkhurst & Crowe; M. E. Allison; and Helms Printing Company,
in connection with the sale of $3,465,000 City of Corpus Christi, Texas, Bonds,
December 15, 1954:

SECTION 2. That the necessity for legal, financial and printing services and
expenses by McCall, Parkhurst & Crowe; M. E, Allison, and Helms Printing Co, in
sale of the bonds creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity,
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall

ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS•INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SA(D-CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
