S)MM CONSTRUCT- ION FUND FOR •Fmm umum SERVICES IN COMCTION WITH THE EXTENSION OF THE 48" WAFER LIM FROM CLAHMOD 'PO SAVAGE LANE BY RE9GAN AND RCCAUGHAN, QONSULTING ENGIKEERS; AND DECLARING AN M=.; WEE MAS, It is necessary to appropriate the amount of $24,487.38 for engineering services in connection with thef extension- of the 48" water line from Clarkwood to Savage Lane, in the vicinity of Corpus 01risti, Nueces Q=ty,'Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIMED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CBRL=, TEAS: SECTICN 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $24,487.38 out of No. 202 City of Corpus Christi Waterworks System Construction Fund for engineer- ing services in connection with the extension of the 48" water line from Clarkwood to Savage Lane in the vicinity of Corpus Christi, Texas, as authorized by Ordinance No. 3600 executing a contract between the City of Corpus Christi and Reagan and McCaughan, Consulting Engineers. SECTION 2. The necessity for these engineering services creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution sha]1 be read at three several meetings of the'City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This the�day of January, 1955• CITY OF CORPUS CM AI, TES- _ ATTEST- City Secretary , f APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: QjLty Attorney 4 o`l7 - I ' ' ___ as- ry 24, 1955 CERTIFY TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE MONEY REQUIRED FOR THE CONTRACT, AGREEMENT, OBLIGATION, OR EXPENDITURE CONTEMPLATED IN THE ABOVE AND FOREGOING ORDINANCE IS IN THE TREASURY OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TO THE CREDIT OF N0. 202 City,of Corpus Christi Waterwor)w Construction FUND FROM WHICH IT IS PROPOSED TO BE DRAWN, AND`SUCH MONEY IS NOT APPROPRIATED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.
