AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,350.00 FROM VARIOUS
BOND FUNDS FOR CHARGES TO BE INCURRED IN CONNEC-
TION WITH BOND FUNDS;_ PROVIDING THAT THE UNEXPEND-
ED BALANCE AT APRIL 30, 1955, SHALL REVERT TO THE
PARENT FUND; MID DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS;
SECTION:1. That there is hereby appropriated from various bond funds indi-
cated in the following table the sum of $1,350.00 for miscellaneous vendor charges to be
incurred not identifiable as to specific construction projects in connection with the bond
and construction funds as follows:
approval of the City Council on motion passed by a.majority of the Council. ,
SECTION 3. That the necessity for an appropriation for miscellaneous bond
fund charges creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity, requiring
the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3)
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such emergency and
imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said Charter rule be suspended, and
that this ordinance be passed finally and on the date of its introduction, and that this or-
dinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO
ORDAINED.

SECTION 2. That the unexpended balance of aforesaid appropriation on
April 30, 1955,
will revert to the fund from which it was appropriated,
and further pro-
vided that no funds shall be paid out of the funds hereby appropriated,
except with the
approval of the City Council on motion passed by a.majority of the Council. ,

GENTLEMEN:
FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE-EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FOREGOING -
ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID-CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
