AN ORDINANCE -
APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL SUM OF $4,748.10
OUT OF NO. 297 SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM BOND
IMPROVEMENT FDND FOR COMPLETION OF SANITARY
SEWER LIFT STATION -AT KOSTORYZ ROAD AND HOLLY
STREET, PER LISTING ATTAf BED, WHICH IS BEING
CONSTRUCTED BY THE SERER DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC
UTILITIES DIVISION OF THE CITY OF ZTFUS CHRISTI;
AND DEC'LA'RING AN EMERGENCY:
WHEREAS, a contract was executed by the City Manager for and on
behalf of the 'City of Corpus Christi with Sewer Division of the Public Utilities
Department of the City of Corpus Christi for the construction of a sanitary sewer
lift station at Kostoryz'Road and Holly Street on the 1st day of September, 1954; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to appropriate the sum. of $4,748.10,
per listing attaehed, out of No. 297 Sanitary Sewer System Bond improvement Fund for the
completion of this project;
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEgAS:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY OF
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $4,748.10
out of No. 297 Sanitary Sewer System Bond Improvement Fund for completion of sanitary
sewer lift station at Kostoryz'Road and Holly Street by Sewer Division of Public Utilities
Department, per listing attached, to be paid over to Sewer Operation Fund No. 109.
SECTION 2. The necessity for making an additional appropriation
of funds in order that the sanitary sewer lift station at Kostoryz Road and Holly Street
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension
z
of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date
of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and
necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this
ordinanc pas ed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take
effect force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY
PASSED , this the p( day of January, 1955•

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FOREGOING-.
ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; 1, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID-CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS _
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
