REPEALING ORDINANCES NO, 3870, NO. 3922 AND NO. 4046;
APPROPRIATING FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE OF
NO. 141WATER SYSTEM FUND THE AMOUNT OF 13.1 FOR
'PEE PURPOSE OF PAYING ALL EXPENSES IN OR TO BE
CURBED IN CONDUCTING A WATER SUPPLY STUDY; PROVIDING
THAT 1 , 0.51 OF SAID APPROPRIATION SHALL BE PAID TO
NO. 298 WATERWORKS BOND CONSTRUCTION FUND TO REIMBURSE
SAID FUND FOR PAYMENTS MADE IN ACCORDINCE WITH ORDI-
NANCES NO. 3870 AND NO. 4046; AND DEcLAmG AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, expenses involved in conducting a water supply study should be
paid from the Water System Fund; and
WHEREAS, appropriations for said expenses were made from bond funds by or-
dinances No. 3870, No. 392 and No. 4046; and
WHEREAS, payments have been made under said ordinances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORnAIK0 BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinances No. 3870, No. 3922 and No. 4046 are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2. That the amount of $37,313.14 is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated fund balance of No. 141 Water System Fund to pay the following costs in-
curred in conducting a water supply study:
Ambursen Engineering - Corporation,
Reagan and McMughan and
Sub- Contractors $30,444.20
M. E. Allison and Co., Inc. 5,939.93
McCall, Parkhurst and Crowe 929.01
Total $37,313.14
SECTION 3. That $16,96o.5i of the aforesaid appropriation shall be paid to
No. 298 Waterworks Bond Construction Fund to reimburse said fund for the following ex-
penditures made under Ordinances No. 3870 and No. 4046:
Ambursen Engineering Corporation,
Reagan and McCaughan and
Sub- Contractors $16,031.50
McCall, Parkhurst and Crowe 929.01
Total $16,960.51
SECTION 4. That the necessity of providing for the costs of a water supply
study to be paid from the Water System Fund creates a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity requiring the suspension of the.Charter rule that no ordinance or

resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordi-
nance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and
the Mayor, having declared that such public emergency and imperative public necessity
exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be
passed on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after its passage. IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This the_Z41

FOREGOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST
FOR THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORD NANCE
OF RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED,
AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS
IF THE CITY COUNCIL; 1, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID
CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE
