HomeMy WebLinkAbout04121 ORD - 02/02/1955AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 202 CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI WATER- WORKS SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION FUND THE SUM OF $1,990.15 FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH CHECKING OF SHOP AND EQUIPMENT DRAWINGS AND SELECTION OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE 0. N. STEVENS WATER FILTRATION PLANT BY REAGAN AND MC CAUGHAN, CONSULTING ENGINEERS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of No. 202 City of Corpus Christi Waterworks System Construction Fund the sum of $1,990.15 for engineer- ing services in connection with checking of shop and equipment drawings and selection of equipment for the 0. N. Stevens Water Filtration Plant by Reagan and McCaughan, Consulting Engineers. SECTION 2. That the necessity for engineering services in connection with checking of shop and equipment drawings for the 0. N. Stevens Water Filtration Plant creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, requesting the suspension of such Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS AC INGLY SO ORDAINED.
